Morgan Stanley has promoted Rehan Latif to sole global head of credit trading, according to sources familiar with the matter, following the departure of Ed Bayliss who previously co-headed the business with Latif.

Latif is based in London and joined Morgan Stanley in 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile. His promotion to sole head marks one of the first major reshufflings of staff in Morgan Stanley's trading division since Ted Pick succeeded James Gorman, the firm's longstanding chief executive, at the start of the year.

A spokesperson for Morgan Stanley declined to comment.
