Mitsuhiro Yamawaki
Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility
Mitsuhiro Yamawaki is deputy CEO and chief risk officer of CGIF. Prior to joining CGIF, Yamawaki was a senior adviser of the credit risk analysis division at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
As director of the credit risk assessment division at the Office of Risk Management (ORM) when CGIF was established, Yamawaki was involved in the risk assessment of ADB’s investment in the company. When promoted to head – ORM of ADB, he oversaw all private sector transactions and portfolio management, and safeguarding ADB’s capital adequacy framework and all risk policies and guidelines.
Anuj Awasthi
Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility
As vice president for operations, Anuj Awasthi oversees CGIF’s guarantee operations. He was formerly a managing director at Societe Generale, heading the financing initiatives for the global markets division for ASEAN and South Asia, and developing the bank’s local currency bond origination and structuring business.
Prior to that, he held positions with Nomura, Merrill Lynch, and HSBC in a career that spans over 20 years in derivatives, hedging, balance sheet management, and local currency financing solutions for corporates and institutions in South Asia and ASEAN.
Muralidharan Ramakrishnan
Fitch Ratings
Muralidharan Ramakrishnan is head of the South & South-East Asia energy and utilities (E&U) team at Fitch Ratings based in Singapore, responsible for credit ratings of oil and gas, power and water utilities, major integrated energy companies and thermal coal producers/contractors.
Ramakrishnan joined Fitch’s Asia Pacific corporates group in June 2010 and was based in Mumbai until 2015. Prior to joining Fitch, he was a senior consultant in a risk consulting firm. He also spent three years at Crisil, where he was part of the company’s rating centre of excellence (criteria and product development) and, subsequently, corporate ratings.
Jerome Tay
Abrdn
Jerome Tay is an investment manager on the Asia Pacific fixed income team where he manages Asian local currency portfolios as well as developing and implementing interest rate and currency strategies. He provides research coverage across Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern sovereign credit, interest rate and currency markets. He also conducts portfolio analysis and risk management.
Tay graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from Singapore Management University.
Sean Henderson
HSBC
Sean Henderson is co-head of debt capital markets for Asia Pacific at HSBC, based in Singapore. He joined the bank in 1998 and has previously worked in London, Hong Kong and Sydney.
Prior to his current role, he was deputy head of DCM for Asia Pacific, overseeing the regional DCM business across South Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
Before that, he was based in Sydney as head of capital financing.
From 2005 to 2011, he was regional head of debt syndicate, based in Hong Kong.
Daniel Stanton

Daniel Stanton is editor of IFR Asia and is based in Singapore. He has been with IFR Asia since 2009, during which time he has held roles including Asia bond editor and Asia equities editor.
